Meet Our Governors

Nick Briggs – LA Governor and Chair

I was elected as Chair of the Trust Board at Pennine Academies Yorkshire (PAY) in December 2019. PAY is a young, growing and medium sized primary trust based in Bradford. The trust has a strong SEND focus. Previously I have been a chair of governors at secondary and primary schools and pupil referral units. Showing my age, I was first a governor of a Bradford secondary school in 1993.

Joining the Post Office group from university, in my early career I practised as the human resources manager for the Bradford, Halifax and Huddersfield areas. Moving to headquarters, I led the human resources strategy for Royal Mail’s investment in new postal technology, programme managed the review of Post office group services and was area manager for Royal Mail’s international mail centre at Heathrow. I concluded my Post Office career as Director and General Manager of Engineering Services. Since then I have consulted and supported private, public and third sector companies.

I now happily live in Leeds and maintains an interest in political history. I follow my daughter’s rugby career and we watch rugby together as season ticket holders of the Leeds Rhinos rugby league club.

Caroline Falconer – Vice Chair and Parent Governor

My eldest child is a pupil at All Saints’. I was delighted to join the Governing Board for the school so that I could have the opportunity to have a positive impact upon the school life of my children and our wider school community. I am a Clinical Psychologist specialising in child and adolescent mental health and am passionate about supporting the emotional well-being and overall development of children. I hope to bring my skills and experience in mental health, special educational needs and safeguarding to my role as governor, to help the school continue to achieve their aims and maintain high standards.

Revd Mike Coe – Foundation Governor

I’ve been the Vicar at All Saints Church since September 2018, having been a Vicar in East Sussex for 15 years previous to that.  Before being ordained I worked as a sales and marketing manager, a Christian youth worker, an itinerant evangelist and a part-time Bible college lecturer. In my last post I was on the Governing Body of our large Church of England Primary School (chairing it for 3 years), and I was also a Director of the Diocese of Chichester Academy Trust (DCAT)

I see the partnership between the Church & the school as vitally important, both in terms helping every pupil reach their full potential, and in seeing the Christian ethos of the school improving in its relevance and application for every part of the school community..

Judith Osborne – Foundation Governor

I am married with 4 children, all of whom attended All Saints’ Primary School from Reception to Year 6. I am a fully qualified primary and secondary school teacher, specialising in Modern Languages. I have been an active member of All Saints’ Church since 1999 and have a particular passion for overseas mission and fairtrade.

As a Foundation Governor, I hope to serve the pupils and staff, helping to steer the strategic direction of the school, underpinned by its Christian ethos.

Stacey Simmonds – Staff Governor

I have been working as a teacher for 12 years covering a range of settings and have worked at All Saint’s C of E for 9 years. I have always enjoyed working with children and watching their curiosity and excitement flourish. Since working at All Saints’, I have been leading R.E. and have supported the school through two SIAMs Inspections and curriculum changes.

Being a Mum to two young children, we enjoy spending family time out and about in the fresh air walking and exploring the area where we live.

Taking on the role of Staff Governor, is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the School and help it to continue providing the best possible education for each child, looking ahead to the challenges and opportunities in the future.

Rebecca Boardman – Parent Governor

My family and I moved to Ilkley in 2020 in order to be able to live in the location we tended to spend most of our weekends visiting. For children growing up in Ilkley and being part of such a welcoming community, whilst also having incredible facilities on the doorstep is a blessing. This combined with the high quality educational experience and warm welcome afforded to us by All Saints’ C of E Primary, has made us realise what a gem of a place this is to live.

When a Parent Governor opportunity arose in 2021, I welcomed the opportunity to be able to assist the school with their vision and plans for the coming years. My particular focus as a Governor is on finances which plays well to my background of 25 years in the financial services industry. My focus is to work with the school to ensure the monies the school receives are spent in the most optimal way for the pupils, with a view to ensuring a high quality educational experience, which is delivered in a fun and exciting way to ensure they leave primary school with a love of learning.
