Wildcat Class
Class teacher’s welcome
Welcome to Wildcat class page. We are very excited for the year ahead in Year 6 and have lots of exciting lessons and experiences to look forward to. As parents/carers, you play a vital role in supporting your child’s journey through Year 6. This year is an important milestone for your child’s education, as it marks their final year in primary school before transitioning to secondary school. We hope that you will find this class page useful in supporting your child through this journey.
Year 6 very much enjoyed their visit from our local MP, Robbie Moore, today. The children shared their ideas about looking after Ilkley and what their priorities would be if they were our local MP! Thankfully their ideas mirrored Robbie’s! Everyone listened to Robbie talk about life as an MP attentively and asked some great and thought provoking questions. A few children then showed Robbie Moore around school and he was very impressed with what he saw, particularly our outside spaces. Well done today, Year 6, you were a credit to yourselves.
Both classes created some fantastic Batik artwork today. We think you’ll agree they look absolutely brilliant. Thank you so much, Ms Gilroy for your expertise, we couldn’t have done it without you!
Happy World Book Day! We had lots of fun on the ‘catwalk’ today. A fantastic selection of book characters and some group efforts too. Well done, Year 6.
On Tuesday we celebrated pancake day and had a few races in the playground. There were definitely some team tactics at play to try for the win!
We enjoyed our visit from Jane who, of course, brought along Harold to see us.
Also check out our latest ‘Cups’ music video here (at regular speed) and here (at different speeds) – hope you enjoy!
