Y5 at the Ilkley Open Tennis
We were delighted to be able to take our Y5 children down to the Lexus Ilkley Open Tennis Tournament on Tuesday. Thanks to Gavin, Jack and the team, all the children enjoyed a full session participating in lots of fun activities on the all-weather courts – even being joined by one of the British players (Holly Hutchinson, competing in the doubles) for a few tips!
The children then went to No.1 Court to watch the action – firstly the final set of a win for Spanish player, Martin Landaluce, then the first set of the women’s defending champion, Rebecca Marino, in her first round match. A brilliant day out!
