Governor Bios

Kathryn Allen – Foundation Governor

Mrs K Allen

I have been a Governor for All Saints’ longer than I care to remember (though I am not the longest serving member!)  My 3 children (youngest now 26) all benefited from an All Saints’ education and I am pleased to be able to serve the school in this way to give something back. As a Foundation Governor, I am there as a church representative, so it is also a role of service to the church & God. It is a privilege to be part of a school where the Christian faith is so much at the heart of everything

Katie Dawson – Co-opted Governor

As a parent to a pupil in KS1, I have a genuine interest in how the school is run and governed. I have a wealth of experience in business and 5 years’ experience working as an insurance broker, providing insurance solutions specifically to schools. It is a privilege to have been offered the opportunity to join the Governing Board and I hope that my experience will have a positive impact on the school.

Caroline Harvison – Co-opted Governor

The Governing Body is at the heart of any academy/school. I had previously sat on a governing body as a Staff Governor for over 7 years and realised that I missed the role so was delighted to be offered the position of Associate Member at All Saints’ initially, before going on to be confirmed as Co-opted Governor. I volunteered to become a Governor at All Saints’ Ilkley in order to make a positive difference. I gained my QTS in July 2008 and have worked as a full-time teacher in the local primary sector ever since.  Alongside my main teaching responsibility, I have developed skills in communication, team work, the ability to work under pressure and an enthusiasm for working on whole school developmental areas. I play an active role in a team of senior leaders contributing to school SIPs and evaluating the work of colleagues to support this. I have also networked with other schools to review the provision of cross-curricular and computing work across the key stages at my previous and current school.

.

Lisa Jamieson – Parent Governor

All three of my children currently attend All Saints’. Joining the Governing Board is my way of ensuring all pupils at the school receive the best possible opportunities to thrive, learn and develop into independent, curious citizens. As a Governor I can contribute my skills in charity governance, science education and museums to a school that I am deeply committed to and in return I am gaining a deeper understanding of education policy and practice at a local and national level. I am committed to ensuring that the work of the Board has a positive impact on everybody’s experiences of All Saints’.

I’ve been involved in All Saints’ school since my children were pupils here in the 80s. Married to Peter and previously a Parent, then Foundation then Co-opted Governor and now Associate Member, I have a particular interest in Special Educational Needs & Disability and Child Protection and provide support to the Governing Body on aspects of wellbeing and pastoral care.  I have a life-long interest in education, being formerly a teacher and also involved in church-based youth work and residentials most of my life.  As the school gardener I appreciate the need for good groundwork! I am a member and regular worshipper at All Saints’ Church.

Revd Mike Coe – Foundation Governor

I’ve been the Vicar at All Saints Church since September 2018, having been a Vicar in East Sussex for 15 years previous to that.  Before being ordained I worked as a sales and marketing manager, a Christian youth worker, an itinerant evangelist and a part-time Bible college lecturer. In my last post I was on the Governing Body of our large Church of England Primary School (chairing it for 3 years), and I was also a Director of the Diocese of Chichester Academy Trust (DCAT)

I see the partnership between the Church & the school as vitally important, both in terms helping every pupil reach their full potential, and in seeing the Christian ethos of the school improving in its relevance and application for every part of the school community.

Judith Osborne

I am married with 4 children, all of whom attended All Saints’ Primary School from Reception to Year 6. I am a fully qualified primary and secondary school teacher, specialising in Modern Languages. I have been an active member of All Saints’ Church since 1999 and have a particular passion for overseas mission and fairtrade.

As a Foundation Governor, I hope to serve the pupils and staff, helping to steer the strategic direction of the school, underpinned by its Christian ethos.

Kirstin Hutchinson

I volunteered to become a Governor as I wanted to see how my skills in data analysis, governance, assurance and strategy planning could help my local community and support a local school. I also have a young daughter and hope this will give me good insight into the education system that our family will soon become part of. I hope that I can bring a beneficial impact to the school to help it maintain its excellent standards.

Ray Tate

I became Chair of Governors at All Saints school in December 2020, after being asked by the local authority if I could fill the vacant position on the schools Board of Governors. I am retired, married and have lived with my wife in Baildon for 17 years. I have one son who is a teacher at a primary school in Bingley. I worked for nearly 40 years at the Telegraph and Argus newspaper company where, my duties included HR, finance and sales management. I enjoy working in the community and I am heavily involved in two local Sunday Football leagues as an officer and referee. I also became a magistrate at Bradford Courts in 2010.

My previous experience as a governor include that of Chair of a Bradford Nursery school and more recently as vice chair at a Baildon Primary school. I feel that my vast experiences will help me immensely in my role at All Saints, and look forward to being part of the continued success at the school.
