DESCRIPTION:Y5 Trip to Murton Park\, York (Saxons) – Monday 3rd February \n  \nDear Parents/Carers\, \n  \nAs part of our topic on Anglo-Saxons\, we have arranged for the children in Year 5 to visit Danelaw\, Murton Park\, York on Monday 3rd February 2025 where we will be taking part in an Anglo-Saxon themed workshop. \n  \nWe will be travelling by coach. \n  \nPlease ensure that your child is dropped off at school at 8:10 on Monday 3rd February. \n  \nAt the end of the day\, we will arrive back at school at 16:30. \n  \nAny children who are booked in to Little Saints’ after-school club will then be accompanied to the hall. \n  \nThe children should come to school wearing their normal school uniform. They will need sensible shoes or trainers along with a small backpack to hold their water bottle and food for the day. Please note that they do not need any money for the visit. \n  \nPacked lunches will be provided for those children who have school meals. Those children who are signed up for tuck will also be provided with a morning snack. If your child normally brings a packed lunch to school\, please send them with one as normal. Please could we politely ask that you do not include products containing nuts or fizzy drinks. \n  \nPlease can we ask that you give your consent for  to attend the visit via Arbor/Trips/Y5 Murton Park. \n  \nIn keeping with the Governing Body’s policy regarding Charges for School Activities\, you are invited to make a voluntary contribution of £17.00 towards the cost of this visit. This will cover the cost of entry to the museum\, the workshop and the coach hire. Please be aware that if insufficient donations are received\, the visit may not go ahead. \n  \nWe are in need of 4 adult volunteers to accompany us on this visit. If you would like to volunteer\, please contact the school office. SUMMARY:Y6 Trip to IGS - Les Miserables
DESCRIPTION:Dear Parents/Carers\,\n\nOur Year 6 children have been invited to Ilkley Grammar School\, on Monday 10th February\, to see their drama department’s rehearsal showing of Les Misérables. \n\n\nIn the past\, it has been customary that children from local schools are invited to such events\, affording them the chance to be entertained\, whilst acting as an opportunity for children to get the chance to sample some of the IGS experience. We do acknowledge that not all children from our current Year 6 cohort will be attending IGS from September\, but they are still very much welcome. \n\nThe performance takes place during normal school hours\, from 9:00am until approximately 11:30am. Therefore\, children will need to come directly to IGS\, in the morning\, rather than All Saints’. We ask that children make their way to the ‘top entrance’ at IGS\, located at the top of Cowpasture Road\, between 8:40am – 8:50am\, ready for the performance’s commencement. Familiar adults from All Saints’ will be located in this area\, from this time to ensure that children are safely collected. These adults will remain with them during the performance.\n\nChildren attending Little Saints’ Breakfast Club will be accompanied to IGS by members of our staff\, at around 8:20am. In addition\, children who receive snack from school will be provided with this at IGS.\n\nConsent is needed for each child. Please go to Trips in Arbor and Yr6 Les Mis and consent by Friday 17th January 2025.\n\nDue to the nature of the show’s content\, IGS have provided us with the following information:\n” Please note\, this is a long show and although we have made it school friendly\, it is a more serious and solemn show. “\n\nWe understand if you would not like your child to attend this production. If this is the case\, they should arrive at All Saints’ as normal on the Monday morning.\nAs the performance finishes during school hours\, those adults on site with the children will bring them back to All Saints’ to continue their learning for the rest of the day\, ready for a normal pick up on site\, at 3:20pm.We apologise for any inconvenience caused with regards to dropping your children off at IGS\, but anticipate a great morning.
